Description:	Red kiwis, just like traditional green kiwis, are grown in New Zealand. They are characterized by their ruby red flesh and berry sweet flavor. They are said to be sweeter, gentler and less astringent than the green variety. Red Kiwis are bigger and have thicker, fluffy skin. Kiwis are a great source of antioxidants which help protect against cancer, and they also contain potassium, copper, vitamin K, folate, and vitamin E. Red Kiwis are low in calories, protein, and fat, and contain a decent amount of fiber. Kiwis need to be peeled to expose their soft flesh. They are typically eaten out of hand by themselves or added into fruit salads. Kiwis must be handled with care due to their delicate skin and soft flesh. They should be stored in the refrigerator until ready to eat. However, if they are too firm, they can be placed on the counter at room temperature to help them ripen.
