This single cylinder deadlock is a surface-mounted, cross-bolt locking device which can be mounted to 1-3/8 inch to 2-3/8 inch thick, wood or metal doors on the inside or outside of left- or right-hinged doors. The lock kit includes an angled strike, a rim cylinder, two keys (keyed differently, but also available keyed alike), a cylinder trim ring, fasteners, a mounting plate, easy-to- install instructions and a tamper-resistant shutter guard. This lock requires a 1-1/4 inch hole and uses Segal keyway. Installation tip: Snap-off or cut-off end sections of tailpiece as needed, if it is too long for your door. Having the tailpiece too long can negatively affect the performance of the lock.
