| Description: | The IDEAL family of Feed-Thru products has expanded to include a new unshielded modular plug connector. This single piece 8P8C RJ-45 connector is designed to work with cable conductors ranging from 22 AWG to 24 AWG solid with an overall insulated 0.040 in. DIa to 0.048 in. per conductor, typically found in unshielded CAT6A/6 cables. The single piece Feed-Thru design simplifies the challenges faced when assembling and terminating twisted pair cables with larger diameter conductors, over 0.041 in., when use of a standard in-line connector is not an option. * 8 position, 8 contact RJ-45 modular plug for CAT6, 100 balanced twisted pair cables * Three prong contact design for use with solid or stranded 23-24 AWG insulated copper conductors up to 0.048 inch in diameter accepts outer jacket cable diameters of up to 3.20 inch * A unique staggered conductor hole layout and multi-length contact pins are incorporated to accommodate the larger conductors * Single piece design 50 micro-inch gold plating on contact mating area for long term reliability in connectivity, even after hundreds of mating cycles * Crimp with IDEAL FT-45 30-495 crimp tool * UL Listed E512035 * The cable can be pushed or pulled into the connector to ensure that the twisted pairs are within 1/4 in of the pin contacts and that the jacket is seated beyond the primary strain relief for a secure connection-better NEXT performance, minimal untwisted wires. |
